“I feel so lucky that I got to volunteer with Kooyrigs during my 3-month stay in Armenia! The team provides great support to those in need; the group of amazing individuals who make up the organization are equally as kind as they are generous and dedicated to causes that improve people’s lives, making volunteers feel very welcome and not wanting to leave Kooyrigs! I am extremely grateful for my time here—for the opportunity to have assisted with providing aid to displaced families, engaging with families and children during home visits, seeing where the needs are and using my skill set to come up with helpful tools, etc. My favorite aspect of the internship experience was most definitely working alongside the staff/developing close bonds and meeting and conversing with families who so graciously let us into their homes, sharing their stories with open (and some, broken) hearts; I won’t forget these deeply moving experiences and the resilience and heart of (those) Armenian families.”
